Upwey-Tecoma bowls seeks members

Upwey-Tecoma Bowling Club is a small club, nestled among the trees adjacent to the Upwey Sports Ground.

It boasts no more than 90 members, both social and playing, and indeed it is a struggle sometimes for the selection committee to fill three teams on a Saturday during the Pennant season.

The Club fields three teams for Saturday Pennant, and one for midweek Pennant.

Notwithstanding these problems, Upwey-Tecoma will field all three Saturday Pennant teams in the upcoming Finals for this season.

The midweek Pennant team narrowly missed the finals by a narrow points margin.

At the time of writing, the matchups will be: First team vs Lilydale at home, second team vs Heathmont at home, third team vs Carrum away.

The Club is in need of more members, most particularly among the younger and female demographic.
