Competition grade netball courts opened for Monbulk FNC

The Monbulk Senior Football Netball Club held the official opening of two competition grade outdoor netball courts on Saturday 6 August.

The courts were opened by Monbulk Recreation Reserve Development Group President Paul Utting and Member for Monbulk James Merlino.

Vice President of the Monbulk Senior Football & Netball Club Bonnie Munday said in a social media post the immense work of Mr Utting and the Yarra Ranges Council behind the scene had not gone unnoticed and has “brought us up to one of the best facilities in [the] region”.

In another post, James Merlino MP congratulated Mr Utting, Ms Munday and club members on making the project happen.

“It’s part of the [Victorian] Government’s $7.2m upgrade of Monbulk Primary School – so enjoyed by students during the day and junior and senior netball players after hours and on weekends,” Mr Merlino’s post read.

“This is the next big step in what is one of the best education, community and sporting precincts in our region.”
