And the crowd goes wild at Gembrook

It was a passion-fuelled weekend in the world of Hills sport as underdog Olinda-Ferny Creek (OFC) took home the Outer East Football Netball League netball crown in a Grand Final victory against Narre Warren.

Top team Narre Warren and ROC were locked together at 36 goals at the end of regular time at Gembrook Recreation Reserve, with the ROC women prevailing 44-43 at the end of extra time.

Gembrook Recreation Reserve was also home to the senior football grand final between Narre Warren and the Woori Yallock Tigers, which saw Narre Warren come out on top 9.17, 71 to 8.10, 58.

Photographer Rob Carew captured the mood of the crowd, and players performing in treacherous conditions.
