It was a great weekend for the Monbulk Cricket Club, with the 1s, 2s, 5ths, veterans, U16’s and Fast 9’s getting awesome wins.
The club had some amazing highlights across the board.
The 1st XI was highlighted by a brilliant 97* by Josh Spencer as they defended 212 against Upper Ferntree Gully at the main ground.
The 2s defended 88 with Joel Wensley and Tam Noonan both taking three wickets to secure a great victory.
Clayton Spooner and Tom Berman both made 100’s, with Ming Poynton making 46* as the 5th XI got a huge win.
An awesome 66* to Will Meyer in the under 16’s anchored the innings in a win on Saturday morning.
The 3rd XI was highlighted by Daniel Rowe who took 4/21 in a terrific spell of bowling.
