MERCY Place Montrose residents have been busy making scarecrows to be a part of the local Sarah Court Pre-school ‘Healthy Harvest Festival’ on 12 and 13 September. The festival encourages residents to buy locally, grow their own food and learn new ways to prepare fresh, healthy meals. Sarah Court Pre-school’s Healthy Harvest Festival originated from an ambition to extend the pre-school’s vegetable garden. The pre-school now boasts a thriving vegetable garden. Pictured from left with the scarecrow are Maryka and Chloe Manatunga, and Mercy Place residents Peter and Agnes Henskens.
