Community say on Montrose Recreation Reserve

Yarra Ranges Council is encouraging the Montrose community to have its say on the draft Montrose Recreation Reserve Master Plan.

The draft master plan establishes a 10-year vision for the reserve and supports an infrastructure investment plan, in partnership with the community.

According to the council, community feedback was key in informing the draft master plan through workshops, pop-up interviews and an online survey.

Walling Ward Councillor Len Cox thanked the community for providing their vision and ideas for the future of the Montrose Recreation Reserve.

“It was great to see so many submissions from the community, we really rely on their feedback in piecing together a plan like this,” he said.

“We now want them to look over the draft Master Plan to make sure that we have the details and ideas correct, before we move to the next stage of it going to Council to be endorsed.”

Community members have until 12 April to provide feedback on the draft Master Plan, which can be done by visiting https://www.yarraranges.vic.gov.au/Council/Engage-Yarra-Ranges/Help-shape-the-future-of-Montrose-Recreation-Reserve.
