White SUV forces 66-year-old man off road and into a tree

Police are seeking more information regarding an road collision which resulted in a car colliding with a tree.

On Monday 31 January at 12.15pm, a blue utility vehicle collided with a tree on Dorset Road in Bayswater North after being forced off the road by another driver.

Witnesses on the scene at the time of the collision said a white SUV-type vehicle was driving erratically before it abruptly veered into another lane, forcing a 66-year-old man to attempt to avoid it.

The man driving the second vehicle collided with a tree and was taken to hospital. The extent of his injuries are currently unknown.

Police said there were a large number of vehicles travelling on Dorset Road at the time of the collision and they believe someone will have seen or have dash-cam footage of the white SUV that can assist them in identifying it.

Police said they believe the vehicle is possibly a 2013-15 Toyota Rav 4, and anyone with information should contact Leading Senior Constable Box at Knox Highway Patrol on 9881 7900.
