Ferntree Gully man charged for an assault in Reservoir

A Ferntree Gully man is one of three people charged following an alleged assault at a Reservoir address.

The charges follow an alleged incident where a male in his 20s was assaulted at an address on Maclagan Crescent on 6 February.

The man suffered upper-body injuries but was able to escape from the property.

Police carried out searches on Friday morning at six residential addresses including one in Attwood.

The 30-year-old Attwood man was charged with intentionally causing serious injury, recklessly causing serious injury, assault, extortion, and assault with a weapon.

A 41-year-old Reservoir man and a 24-year-old Attwood man have also been charged. All three will face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday afternoon for a remand application.

Police seized a number of items at each address, including a range of weapons.

The trio of alleged offenders are believed to be involved with the Hells Angels bikie gang.
