Monbulk man confirmed as victim in Wantirna crash

A 29-year-old Monbulk man has been confirmed as the victim of a fatal collision outside Wantirna McDonald’s on Tuesday 20 September.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Mountain Highway and Boronia Road, just outside Knox Private Hospital, at about 3pm where a car and motorcyclist collided 20 minutes earlier.

The rider of the motorcycle died at the scene, while the driver of the car was not injured and is assisting police.

Police said investigations into the exact cause of the collision are ongoing and anyone with information, dashcam or CCTV footage is urged to contact CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a report online.
