Driver awaiting court appearance after collision in Upwey

A male driver has had his licence cancelled on the spot and is facing further offences to appear at court at a later date after a collision on a suburban street in Upwey on Saturday 3 December.

The car collided with a street pole before driving down the street on the wrong side of the road and colliding with an oncoming car.

The offending driver was taken to Belgrave Police Station for an Evidentiary Breath Test and his result was 0.253.

The male driver had driven two hours from country Victoria to Upwey with his 2 children.

No one was injured.
