ST JOSEPH’S College in Ferntree Gully prides itself on giving each boy the attention and opportunities needed to develop into a fine young man.
Staff work closely with their students and are always prepared to spend that extra time that can make all the difference. This commitment to teaching and curriculum design will see staff take part in The High Performing Schools Project, aimed at further improving classroom professional practice and enhancing student, parent and teacher satisfaction.
College principal Vin Feeney said its key partnership with the Australian Technical College – Eastern Melbourne was another exciting initiative, greatly assisting all students to achieve their chosen pathway, whether University, TAFE or employment.
“Our emphasis on literacy has also been rewarded with Australian Government recognition as a Boys Lighthouse school,” he said.
“We have worked closely with local primary schools to develop and deliver literacy programs for Years 5 to 8 that have received acclaim from educational researchers.”
