Over the past week, firefighters have been flat out, both locally and across the state, helping communities impacted by ongoing bushfires.
Bayswater CFA sent a tanker and more than 20 members to the Walwa Fire Complex, where they spent six days on the frontline.
Another 20 members, along with the Ultralight, supported crews at the Longwood Complex Fire.
Bayswater tanker returned home on Wednesday night, 14 January and on Thursday morning the Ultralight redeployed to Walwa to continue helping on the ground.
Back at home, Bayswater volunteers have also responded to more than 14 local incidents.
“As a 100 per cent volunteer brigade, our members, like their counterparts across the state have worked tirelessly through this intense period. We sincerely thank our volunteers, their families, employers, and the wider community for their ongoing support,” Bayswater fire brigade-CFA wrote on its Facebook page.
