SUMMER months are party months and that means fun, food and drinks … Sometimes lots of drinks. Party safe and still enjoy delicious, refreshing and great looking drinks with these non-alcoholic ‘mocktail’ and party-punch recipes.

Berry nice, thank you!

Combine two cups of pre-chilled blackcurrant tea with 300g of strawberries and 200 grams of fresh raspberries, the juice of one lemon and two dessertspoons of honey or sugar. Strain into a jug and top up with chilled lemonade. Garnish with slices of strawberry.

Mocktini

Combine 15ml lime juice with a dash of lemon juice and 60mls of tonic water. Stir with ice and strain. Pour into a 90ml martini glass. Garnish with a green olive on a toothpick or a lemon twist.

Sunburnt Kiwi

Mix one ripe plum, stoned, and one skinned kiwi fruit, with 15ml of lemon juice and 60ml of dark grape juice. Blend with ice and pour into a 440ml hurricane glass. Garnish with a slice of kiwi fruit on the side of the glass.

Virgin Mary

Mix 150ml of tomato juice and 15ml of lemon juice with a teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, two or three drops of Tabasco sauce and salt and pepper to taste.
Build over ice in a 270ml hi-ball glass and stir. Garnish with a celery stalk, lemon slice and straws. This makes a spicy, refreshing start to the day.
