THE Shire of Yarra Ranges Youth Services holiday program got the thumbs up from a group of budding Robin Hoods at the Launching Place Archery Park last week.
The group of 22 pre-teens had signed on for three hours of archery and golf, just one of the more than 30 different activities organised by the Youth Services staff to keep young people on the go during the school holidays.
Youth Programs and Event coordinator Belinda Chalmers said the program, which winds up on 26 January after three weeks of activities, had been very well supported.
“We’ve had a huge response this year,” she said.
“Just about everything has been booked out. Most of the boys in this group are first-timers and the feedback we are getting is that they are loving it and their parents are loving it as well,” Ms Chalmers said.
