POLICE have released an image of a man they allege had stolen money from a house in Doveton.
They say that about 4pm on 2 February, a man knocked on a door at a house in Rowan Drive. An elderly occupant opened the door and the man said he was an inspector and would need $350 to inspect the house. The occupant said he was a pensioner and did not have the money.
The man entered the house, walked into the bedroom and said he would need to do some drilling. He told the occupant to leave the room and took money from the room.He had told the occupant he could not do the necessary work that day and would be back.
