As part of their studies, Mater Christi College’s VCAL students are raising welcome funds for the Monbulk Wildlife Shelter on Thursday 21 June. For more than 18 years, the shelter has been caring for orphaned wildlife. Some of these animals include: echidnas, wallabies, gliders, possums, wombats, tortoises and many species of birds. In addition to their fundraising efforts, the students are also learning what to do if you find injured wildlife. They’re also discovering some statistics around the types of animals and numbers that are found within the Dandenong Ranges.
