Summer is fading fast and this is your chance to say so long to summer!
What better way to spend the last days of summer than at a wonderful fundraiser for Gembrook preschool.
All the bands of the bush are gathering together to celebrate the end of summer and rock the day away.
From sweet solo’s that sound like Ed Sheeran to dynamic duo’s with audience involvement to ensemble groups. There is something for everyone!
There will be food trucks, carnival games, free family activities, jumping castles, auctions, raffles and LJ the Magician will be performing a world record escape.
Event organiser Samantha Willis invited everyone in surrounding suburbs to come along.
“This is the first time we’ve done an event like this and we’re opening up to the whole hills community,” she said.
“The whole setup is like a giant picnic ground, so you can come relax with the family and kids.
“There will be free family activities and it’s just a donation for entry…we’re really passionate to make this free so everyone can join in.”
All money raised from this event will go towards a full kitchen renovation at the kinder which is run completely by parents.
It’s really important we run events like this so we can make changes to the preschool to benefit the kids.
The money raised will going back into the kitchen want to design brand new kitchen that’s child friendly to implement a healthy eating program.
Bring a picnic rug and chairs and enjoy a great day out whilst raising money for Gembrook preschool.
So Long Summer is on 17 March at Gilwell Park, Swallowfield Road, Gembrook with the event taking place from 10am-3pm.
