Investigation into body located in Lysterfield continues

Detectives from the Missing Persons Squad are investigating after a body was located in Lysterfield on 17 June.

While a formal identification is yet to take place, it’s believed the deceased is a 26-year-old Oakleigh South man.

The man was last seen on 11 May and had been reported as a missing person.

His death is being treated as suspicious.

The man’s body was located yesterday in a semi-rural area near Nixon Road in Lysterfield about 1.30pm.

The exact circumstances surrounding his death are still to be determined.
