Trains back on track

Train services have resumed on the Belgrave line between Upper Ferntree Gully and Belgrave, after a tree came down on the tracks earlier.

Buses may continue to operate as trains return to the normal frequency.

The Department of Transport thanked passengers for their patience while crews worked to remove the tree and inspect the overhead equipment.

Buses continue to replace trains on the Mernda line between Reservoir and Epping, due to a police investigation. Passengers are asked to allow up to 30 minutes extra for their journey.

Real-time traffic conditions are available at traffic.vicroads.vic.gov.au or via the VicTraffic mobile app.

The latest public transport information and network status is available at ptv.vic.gov.au or in the PTV mobile app.
