A man is in custody after being arrested following two early-morning stabbings at a local shopping centre last weekend.
It is alleged the 21-year-old approached two male victims as they were leaving a bar outside Westfield Knox Shopping Centre in the early hours of Sunday 18 April.
The two victims were taken to the Alfred Hospital with significant injuries, one receiving a serious stab wound to the shoulder and the other with torso injuries.
Knox Crime Investigation Unit detectives attended and searched a Burwood Highway address on Monday 19 April which led them to an address in Austin Street, Alphington.
The man charged with multiple offences and was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court on Wednesday 21 April.
