Belgrave is having a doggie Christmas

Belgrave local traders are coming together for a special dog themed Christmas event for people to pamper their pawed friends.

The event will run from 12pm until 4pm on Saturday 11 December and features a number of activites for people to enjoy with their dogs.

Owner of Babajis Kitchen Billie Crombie said the event has plenty of fun activities for animal lovers to pamper their pets with.

“We are going to be having a Christmas event with a roaming Santa, a dog grotto and an area to take a Christmas portrait with your furry friend,”

“we are trying to get people down to enjoy Belgrave and the local community.”

The event is organised by the Belgrave Traders Association and is aimed at boosting local business in the area leading into Christmas in what has been a difficult year for local businesses.

Mrs Crombie said she is excited about the event and plans for future events in the area too.

“We did run a dog festival last year; we run pretty good events in Belgrave like Halloween and the like which has been a challenge this year,” she said.

“There are plenty of cafes, restaurants and bookshops to see while you are here too.”
