Funding for sports and leisure clubs

Sports and Leisure clubs throughout Ferntree Gully and Boronia could be eligible for up to $10,000 in funding for facility improvements.

Knox City Council is allocating grants of up to $10,000 to eligible Not-For-Profit community and sports group through the Leisure Minor Capital Works Grant Scheme.

Council will fund up to 75% of eligible projects compared to previous years where clubs and organisations split the cost.

The grants aim to provide funding to leisure and sporting organisations who wish to undertake facility improvement projects on land owned or managed by council.

To be eligible organisations must be non-for-profit community groups with a managing committee or similar and their own legal identity, an organisation that is part of a larger state or national not-for-profit and it must have a lease, license or annual license agreement for the assets.
