Cardinia Shire Council has announced a free business recovery workshop to assist small businesses in disasters response preparation and management.
The workshop will feature a presentation and question and answer session with Jan Barned, a renowned financial management trainer with over 20 years experience working with small business.
Following the 2019-20 Black Summer bushfires, Covid-19 and the June storms, the workshop aims to provide businesses with a better understanding of how to plan and prepare for disaster events, including how businesses can identify key issues following disaster events and how they can restructure their businesses to benefit from future opportunities.
The details for the workshop are listed below:
Date: Wednesday, 16 March 2022
Time: 10.00am – 2.00pm
Where: Emerald Hills Hub, 402 Belgrave-Gembrook Rd, Emerald.
During the workshop, attendees will be provided with a workbook, templates and checklists, as well as a copy of Ms Barned’s award winning book Disaster Recovery Toolkit and the publication Improving Business Performance for Small Business.
Lunch will provided at the workshop, with RSVPing required for catering purposes. Limited spaces are available so participants are encouraged to enquire early.
