Vic Emergency advises thunderstorm threat is reduced

Vic Emergency has announced the severe thunderstorm warning for Greater Melbourne has been cancelled, with the threat considered reduced as of 9.34am.

This followed a Watch and Act message issued at 8.21am this morning.

Vic Emergency advises residents to:

Check your property for damage

Keep clear of damaged buildings, power lines and trees.

A minor road accident has occurred on Badger Creek Rd, Healesville as of 10.36am, with drivers reminded to be wary and cautious on the roads while wet.

Drivers should also be alert to fallen trees, branches or power lines strewn across roads.

Coldstream has also seen flooding occurr, a request for assistance was issued at 10:02am.

Coldstream recorded 37.2mm in the hour of 7.46am to 8.46am.

The next update is expected by 27/01/2022 12:40 pm or as the situation changes.
