Voting for the Streeton Ward by-election closes at 6pm on Friday 18 February.

Completed ballot material must be posted before final local mail clearance time to be counted in the election. Voters should check their local mail clearance time which may be earlier than 6pm.

Completed ballot material can also be hand delivered by 6pm to the election office located at Silvan Public Hall, 271 Monbulk Road, Silvan.

Voters who haven’t received their ballot back should call the election office immediately on 1300 202 885 to arrange an alternative. The election office is open to 6pm on Friday 18 February.

The by-election was triggered when Cathrine Burnett-Wake accepted a Liberal party vacancy in the Eastern Victoria electorate of the Legislative Council following Edward O’Donohue’s resignation in September.

The elected candidate will represent Streeton Ward on Yarra Ranges Council until the 2024 council general election.

12,415 Victorians were enrolled in Streeton Ward at the last council election in 2020, which includes Upwey, Sassafras and Olinda.
