Belgrave line suspended after power fault

Buses will replace trains between Upper Ferntree Gully and Belgrave due to a power fault, with trains continuing to run between Flinders Street and Upper Ferntree Gully “with delays likely”.

The Department of Transport said passengers could consider using bus route 693 as an alternative.

“The VicRoads signals team is monitoring conditions in the area and will adjust traffic lights to assist with bus movements,” The department said.

“Real-time traffic conditions are available at traffic.vicroads.vic.gov.au or via the VicTraffic mobile app. The latest public transport information and network status is available at ptv.vic.gov.au or in the PTV mobile app.”

Motorists are asked to be aware of extra pedestrians and buses around Belgrave line train stations until the fault is restored.
