A Monbulk newsagency is celebrating after selling a $1.5 million winning division one TattsLotto ticket to a Monbulk local, with the store owners having “no idea” who brought the unregistered ticket from TattsLotto draw 4307.
Balloons and posters brightened Monbulk Newsagency in the days after the win was drawn on Saturday 29 October.
“We were so excited, we couldn’t believe it,” Monbulk Newsagency owner Selena Dang told Tattslotto.
“After a busy day and week to sell highest Powerball jackpot prize and Tattslotto Super draw, it was fantastic to get the news we’d sold a division one winning entry.”
The unidentified Monbulk woman is set to chip away at long overdue home renovations after landing the $1,538,461.54 win along with 13 others across Australia.
“I checked the ticket on Sunday morning and I’m still in shock — It still feels like a dream!,” she told TattsLotto.
“Our family can put the prize towards doing some house maintenance.
“We look forward to replacing the deck and putting in some solar panels!”
She also hopes to put the remaining prize towards boosting retirement plans.
Monbulk Newsagency has sold more than fifteen division one winning entries over the years, and its owners are glad to have sold a winning ticket to a local.
“Good luck to the winner, and hopefully we will have another one soon,” owner Nick Phan said.
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4307 on 29 October 2022 were 7, 9, 42, 6, 22 and 3, while the supplementary numbers were 16 and 13.
The 13 division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4307 were sold in Queensland (six entries) Victoria (three), New South Wales (two) and one each in Tasmania and Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 370 so far this calendar year, including 148 won by Tatts customers.
