Over $11,000 in fines for motorists in Belgrave operation

Police detected over 20 drivers during Operation ‘BOUND’ in the Belgrave area on Tuesday 17 January.

A plain clothes patrol was set up on Burwood Highway, detecting a number of offences including:

14 mobile phone offences

Four seatbelt offences

Four over double lines offences

One unrestrained child passenger being a 10-month-old child in the lap of a passenger.

Total cost of the fines was over $11,000.
