Monbulk shoppers share in $2.66 million TattsLotto win

Monbulk shoppers are sporting winning smiles after their syndicate scored division one in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The store syndicate, called Winning One, with 20 members held one of the two division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4385 on Saturday 29 July 2023.

Each division one winning entry scored $2,583,769.64.

In addition to scoring division one, the syndicate’s System entry also scored division two six times, division three 12 times, division four 45 times and division five 20 times, bolstering the group’s total prize to $2,666,931.39.

Each of the 20 syndicate members receives a share worth $133,346.57.

However, some members of the winning Victorian syndicate may have yet to realise their good fortune, prompting lottery officials to urge players to check their tickets as soon as possible.

Shares into the winning syndicate were purchased at Monbulk Authorised Newsagency, 76 Main Street, Monbulk.

Monbulk Authorised Newsagency manager Martyn Woodbridge said it was a surreal feeling when he first found out his outlet had sold a division one winning syndicate.

“It will be just like a party all week with balloons in-store and we won’t want it to ever end,” he said.

“We’ve sold about 16 division one winning entries over 20 years now. The last one was in October last year so it’s great to have another one.

“As this was a syndicate win, I’m sure that most winners will already know, but there will be a few that won’t know until Friday or Saturday when they come to put their tickets on for next week.

Mr Woodbridge said there was a mix of young and old people in the syndicate.

“Enjoy the win, celebrate the way you want to and just enjoy life,” he said.

The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said some syndicate members held unregistered entries and might have yet to discover their winning news.

“While we’ll be reaching out to those syndicate members who registered their entries, there are many who have unregistered entries and may not yet know they’re part of this winning group.

“If you purchased a share in a syndicate for the weekend’s TattsLotto draw, today’s the day to check it! If you discover you’re holding a winning share, call The Lott on 131 868 to start the prize claim process!”

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4385 on 29 July 2023 were 45, 42, 3, 32, 37 and 14, while the supplementary numbers were 17 and 20.

Across Australia, there were two division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4385 – one each from Victoria and South Australia.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 239 so far in 2023, including 79 won by Tatts customers.

In 2022, TattsLotto created 171 millionaires across Australia.

During this time, there were 330 division one winning in TattsLotto entries across Australia that collectively won more than $456.6 million.
