The community can now gain access to free Home Energy & Water Efficiency Kits through Cardinia Shire’s libraries.
The Home Energy & Water Efficiency Kits are packed with practical tools and resources to empower the community to improve energy efficiency, reduce their carbon footprint, and make sustainable choices within their homes.
The kits include energy meters to monitor electricity consumption, thermal imaging cameras to identify areas of heat loss, flow-measuring cups to calculate water use, and useful information and tips on home energy-saving practices.
Cardinia Shire Mayor, Councillor Tammy Radford encourages the community to use the kits.
“These kits are a great way to gather valuable insights about the energy efficiency of your home and implement energy-efficient practices.
“Not only is this great for the climate but can also help lower energy and water bills at home,” she said.
Library members can place a hold for the Home Energy & Water Efficiency Kits to them collect at any of Cardinia Shire’s libraries (Pakenham Library, Emerald Library or Cardinia Mobile Library).
This program is delivered by Myli libraries in partnership with Cardinia Shire, Bass Coast Shire, Baw Baw Shire and South Gippsland Shire councils.
