Driver caught over 30 kilometres over the limit in Wantirna South

A 51-year-old male driver was detected speeding at 112 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on Burwood Hwy in Wantirna South on Sunday 12 November,

The man later returned an Evidentiary Breath Test (EBT) result of 0.064.

The man was issued with penalty notices totalling $1,202 and his licence will be cancelled and disqualified for 3 months.

He will be required to install an alcohol interlock in any vehicle he drives once re-licenced.

If you drink or take drugs and drive, we will catch you and the penalties can be severe!
