Appeal for witnesses as investigation continues into fatal crash in Monbulk

Yarra Ranges Highway Patrol officers are continuing to investigate a fatal crash in Monbulk in late 2022.

Investigators believe a man in a white Honda sedan was driving along Monbulk Road when he veered from the road about 6.30pm on 2 December.

It is understood that the Honda left the road and travelled down an embankment before crashing into a tree.

“The driver, 41-year-old Noble Park man, died at the scene,” police said.

“Officers have been told a small silver hatchback was seen in near vicinity to the Honda just prior to the collision.

“Investigators believe the driver of this vehicle may be able to assist with enquiries.”

Anyone who witnessed the incident or with dashcam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online at crimestoppersvic.com.au
