Commuters on both the Lilydale and Belgrave train lines will need to plan ahead with disruptions at the end of the month as work on crossing removal projects ramp up.
Buses will replace trains between Blackburn and Lilydale from 8.30pm on Tuesday 30 January to Friday 2 February.
Replacement buses will also be intermittent from January to April on the Belgrave line throughout different sections of the route.
Croydon Station will close from 8.30pm on Tuesday 30 January and is expected to reopen in spring this year. No specific date has been given.
Bedford Road, Ringwood will also be closed at the level crossing from 7am Tuesday 30 January through to April.
Commuters are advised to allow extra time for their journey and to plan ahead when travelling.
