Power and shower relief for Yarra Ranges residents amid ongoing power outages

If you’ve been affected by recent severe weather-related power outages and are still waiting for your power to be restored, the Yarra Ranges Council has suggested the following locations in Upwey, Yarra Junction, Monbulk, Healesville, and Lilydale where you can shower or charge your phone. These locations are open and available to the public.

The following Community Links and sites are open for residents:

Olinda Community House: 79-81 Olinda Monbulk Road, Olinda

Open Tuesday and Thursday from 9 am to 6 pm, Wednesday from 9 am to 4 pm, and Friday from 9 am to 1 pm.

Kilsyth Sports Stadium: 115 Liverpool Road, Kilsyth

Open weekdays from 9 am to 4.30 pm.

Emerald Hills Hub: 402 Belgrave-Gembrook Road, Emerald

Open from 10 am to 6 pm.

Cockatoo Community Centre: 23 Bailey Road, Cockatoo

Open from 10 am to 6 pm.

Gembrook Community Centre: 1 Beenak East Road, Gembrook

Open from 10 am to 6 pm.

Locations for Power and Shower:

Monbulk Aquatic Centre: 26 Baynes Park Road, Monbulk

Open weekdays from 6 am to 9 pm and weekends from 8 am to 6 pm (available to residents free of charge).

Yarra Centre: 2435 Warburton Highway, Yarra Junction

Open weekdays from 6 am to 9 pm and weekends from 8 am to 6 pm (available to residents free of charge).

Knox Leisure Works: 35 Tormore Road, Boronia

Open weekdays from 5.30 am to 9.30 pm, Saturdays from 6.30 pm to 8 pm, and Sundays from 8 am to 6 pm.

Knox Netball Centre: 9 Dempster Street, Ferntree Gully

Open Tuesday to Thursday from 9 am to 9 pm, Friday from 9 am to 9.30 pm, and Sunday from 4 pm to 8.30 pm.

Rowville Community Centre: 40 Fulham Road, Rowville

Open Tuesday to Thursday from 9 am to 9 pm and Friday from 9 am to 4 pm.

Jack Hort Memorial Community Pool: 10 Camerons Road, Healesville

Open Monday to Friday from 7 am to 8 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm (available to impacted residents free of charge).

Residents are reminded to bring their own towels and toiletries.
