Brush up on creativity at Belgrave Library’s art workshop

Belgrave Library is offering a unique opportunity for young artists to get creative this summer holiday.

The local hub for learning and community connection will host a fun and interactive art workshop for children aged five to 12, designed to inspire imagination and artistic expression.

On Monday 13 January from 11am to 12pm, children will join Belgrave Children’s Librarian Chris Nugent for Fun with Paints and Prints, a hands-on session where participants will create their own artwork and discover the technique of mono-printing – a fun and simple form of printmaking.

“Dress for mess!” Mr Nugent said, encouraging kids to roll up their sleeves and dive into the world of paint, prints, and creativity.

The workshop will allow children to experiment with colours and textures, making each print entirely unique.

It’s a chance to learn new artistic skills while having a great time.

As a central part of the Belgrave community, the library has long been committed to providing engaging and educational experiences for children and families – this workshop is just one example of the many creative activities available at the library throughout the year.

Spaces for the workshop are limited, so parents are encouraged to book early to secure a spot.

For more information or to reserve a place, contact Belgrave Library directly.
