Community Bushfire meeting tonight in Sassafras and Ferny Creek

A community bushfire preparedness meeting will be held this weekend in Ferny Creek by local CFA

Sassafras and Ferny Creek residents are invited to attend the bushfire community meeting on Saturday 18 January from 2pm January in Ferny Creek.

Located at 21 Clarkmont Road, the meeting will be hosted by Sassafras-Ferny Creek CFA members and will cover local conditions, the current bushfire threat and how residents can prepare their homes and families for the season.

The Sassafras-Ferny Creek Fire Brigade serves the townships of Sassafras, Ferny Creek, Tremont and parts of Sherbrooke in the Dandenong Ranges.

The wholly volunteer brigade is one of more than 1200 Country Fire Authority (CFA) brigades across Victoria.
