Sherbrooke Gallery postpones opening because of heat

The Sherbrooke Art Gallery has advised that it will be closed on Friday 9 January, due to the weather warnings.

Meant to reopen for the year, the Gallery has postponed this until Saturday because of the forecasted 40-degree temperatures and extreme fire risk.

“We reopen ready for Summer School on Saturday,” the emailed notification said.

“All students, please use the side steps at the end of the carpark as the main Gallery doors will be locked until 11am when we reopen for the public.

“Come in and see the student exhibition, which opens this weekend, and our Summer Sale is on until the end of January.”

The Gallery is typically open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday between the hours of 11am to 3pm.

Sherbrooke Art Gallery can be found at Sherbrooke Art Society, 62 Monbulk Rd Belgrave.
