Cavehill plans open for comment

A DRAFT master plan for the Cavehill development in Lilydale has been released and members of the public can have their say until 6 December.
The Cavehill site, currently known as the Lilydale Quarry, will shut down in coming years and Sibelco Australia is working with Places Victoria, Yarra Ranges Council and the community to prepare a long term master plan for the site.
The Plan Cave Hill draft master plan describes how the land may be used in the future, reflecting a vision created in partnership with the community.

From now until Friday 6 December interested residents and ratepayers can provide feedback on the draft master plan by
– Attending a ‘drop in’ session at the Yarra Ranges Regional Museum, 35-37 Castella Street, Lilydale. The first session will be held on Saturday 23 November from 10am to 1pm. The second session will be held on Sunday 1 December from 12pm to 3pm.
– Attending the community forum which will be held on Monday 25 November from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at the Lillydale Lake Community Room, 435 Swansea Rd, Lilydale. Please RSVP by telephoning 9285 9008.
– Visiting www.plancavehill.com.au and participating in the online forum.
– Preparing a submission outlining feedback and mailing it to Capire Consulting Group, 96 Pelham Street, Carlton 3053 or emailing andrew@capire.com.au.
