Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal house fire in Monbulk on 28 July.
Emergency services attended an address in Nugent Road about 9.40pm after reports that a house was on fire.
Fire crews extinguished the blaze and a search of the premises was conducted.
A deceased woman, believed to be in her 90s, was located during the search.
Police will prepare a report for the Coroner and at this stage the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
