Puffing Billy Railway has been identified as a Covid-19 exposure site, DHHS has revealed this morning.

A confirmed case visited the railway during their infectious period on Thursday 31 December between 3pm and 5pm.

Anyone who visited the Emerald attraction during that time frame should monitor for symptoms, get tested and self-quarantine.

The news comes as Victoria records four new cases of coronavirus since Saturday, with three acquired locally and one in hotel quarantine.

All of the latest locally acquired cases have been linked to the Black Rock Cluster, according to acting premier Jacinta Allan.

Ms Allan said the results were a positive result after a record 32,468 people were tested on Sunday 3 January.

“This is a really strong day for Victoria because it comes off the back of a huge number of tests,” she said.

This brings the number of active cases in Victoria to 34.
