Selby Primary School has pushed back this weekend’s ‘Trash 2 Treasure’ Market organised by the Parents and Friends Association to Sunday 10 April due to weather forecast.
Acting Principal Scott Burton said the event will be something for the community to engage with after a difficult couple of years during the pandemic.
“With so many events that have been cancelled over the last couple of years, it’s been nice to still be able to do something like this,” Mr Burton said.
On Sunday there will be live music, food and drinks stalls and pony rides among other attractions, with the event a fundraiser for the school.
“Locals have been able to book a stall and they bring along what they want to sell, so who knows what’s going to be there on the day,” he said.
“We’re up to around 30 stallholders, and we’ve also got a couple of professional food vans coming along and professional face painters.”
The market will be held at the school oval at 2 Morley St, Selby VIC 3159 from 11am-3pm.
