Cygnett power banks recalled due to fire risk

A set of power bank products made by Cygnett and sold at major retailers such as JB HiFi, Officeworks and Harvey Norman has been recalled.

The power bank may overheat and catch fire. There is a risk of a serious burn injury and/or property damage if the battery overheats and catches fire.

Consumers should stop using affected power banks immediately and return power banks to the place of purchase for a full refund.

The products were available nationally and online between 7 September 2023 and 15 March 2024 at: JB HiFi, Officeworks, Harvey Norman, Telstra, Optus, The Good Guys, Aelia, Relay, Tech2Go, Newslink, WH Smith, Anaconda, Myer, Leading Edge and Retravision.
