Festive fun for kids

Emerald Library is spreading festive cheer these school holidays with a range of free programs designed to keep young people entertained, engaged and creative.

A children’s Christmas craft session held on Thursday 11 December attracted local families for a hands-on morning of festive fun. Young participants created Christmas-themed decorations and artwork in a relaxed and welcoming environment, with activities encouraging imagination and social connection.

Library staff said the initiative offers families an accessible option during the busy holiday period, while also helping children see the library as a welcoming space for creativity and community connection.

More free holiday activities will run throughout the Christmas break, giving children further opportunities to get involved and enjoy time at the library.
